Service Delivery Coordinator (Fixed Term Contract)
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of fibre implementation projects from initiation through to service activation.
Role Summary:
The successful candidate will play a critical role in coordinating project activities, managing stakeholder communication, tracking project progress, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in project coordination, service delivery, and telecommunications environments.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate multiple fibre implementation projects from initiation to activation and handover.
Support Service Delivery Managers with project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
Maintain project plans, trackers, and documentation to ensure accurate project visibility.
Monitor project milestones, risks, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
Escalate project issues and delays to the relevant stakeholders.
Serve as a key point of contact between customers, contractors, internal departments, and project teams.
Schedule and facilitate project meetings, status updates, and progress reviews.
Communicate project timelines, risks, changes, and expectations effectively.
Track and follow up on project action items to ensure timely completion.
Coordinate activities relating to fibre design, wayleave approvals, construction, splicing, testing, and service activation.
Liaise with field operations, construction partners, and network implementation teams to ensure project readiness.
Monitor contractor performance and delivery against agreed standards.
Track project dependencies including permits, customer readiness, access approvals, and equipment availability.
Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.
Maintain project documentation, records, and audit trails.
Update project management systems with accurate and current information.Generate reports on project performance, timelines, risks, and resource utilisation.
Ensure project activities comply with company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Verify project deliverables meet customer and business quality expectations.
Support project close-out activities and customer handovers.
Qualifications Required:
Matric / Grade 12
Relevant post-matric qualification, certification, or degree (advantageous).
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in administration, project management or service delivery, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
