Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven FTTB Access Build Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of Fibre-to-the-Business (FTTB) access build projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing On-Net and Off-Net network rollout projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role requires a strong project management professional with telecommunications and fibre network deployment experience, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders, managing contractors and vendors, and driving operational excellence across complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.

• Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and proactively address delays and risks.

• Identify project constraints, dependencies, and risks, implementing mitigation plans where necessary.

• Manage project scope changes in accordance with approved governance and change control processes.

• Ensure accurate project documentation, close-out, and handover to Operations.

• Track and maintain records of all FTTB access build projects.

• Monitor Mid Base for new and amended orders requiring project execution.

• Coordinate installation schedules with contractors and service providers.

• Manage site surveys, wayleaves, site access, and readiness activities.

• Identify sites requiring major maintenance and escalate recommendations where required.

• Ensure build activities are completed according to approved standards and specifications.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams.

• Manage contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with contracts, SLAs, technical standards, and project requirements.

• Provide regular project progress updates, highlighting milestones, risks, issues, and outstanding actions.

• Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in project delivery.

• Manage project budgets, quotations, committed costs, and financial forecasts.

• Work closely with Finance to monitor expenditure and reconcile project costs.

• Assess the financial impact of project scope and design changes.

• Ensure all project-related costs are processed in accordance with company financial policies and procedures.

• Support project profitability through effective cost control and budget management.

Qualifications Required:

• Matric / Grade 12

• Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Management, or a related field.

• Relevant project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) will be advantageous.

Work Experience:

• 3–5 years' project management experience within infrastructure, construction, maintenance, or operations environments.

• 3–5 years' experience within telecommunications or fibre network deployment projects.

• Proven experience managing contractors, vendors, and multiple concurrent projects.

• Experience managing project budgets, financial reporting, and cost control.
