Senior Inventory Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Senior Inventory Administrator to join our team.
Role Summary:
This role plays a key part in ensuring that internal control processes are followed and that inventory data is accurate, reliable, and aligned with financial systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimising inventory levels, ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, and supporting financial reconciliation processes.
Responsibilities:
Manage confirmation of warehouse stock to financial systems on a monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual basis.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and ensure accurate inventory records.
Assist with managing and monitoring cycle count programs, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Handle quarterly regional stock counts and resolve discrepancies between recorded inventory and physical stock.
Maintain organised inventory records and filing systems.
Manage accounts receivable, contractor invoicing, and payment queries.
Investigate and reconcile contractor payment discrepancies where required.
Perform and monitor stock variance reconciliations.
Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded accurately and stock movement records are maintained.
Manage daily orders book and provide feedback to management.
Maintain accurate stockroom location records and update the inventory system daily.
Process and reconcile weekly and monthly activation reports.
Prepare and assist with inventory-related reporting.
Maintain data accuracy within the inventory and financial systems.
Travel for quarterly regional stock counts when required.
Qualifications Required:
Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
Certificate or Diploma in Finance (advantageous).
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing, receiving, store administration, or finance-related inventory functions.
Experience with Sage X3 will be advantageous.
Skills Required:
Ability to read financial reports and interpret variance analyses.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors.
Knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management practices.
Understanding of basic health and safety requirements within a warehousing environment.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to analyse data and support cost-saving initiatives.
