Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical, and coordination skills, capable of driving performance through structured supervision, process improvement, and adherence to company standards. You will lead a team of Technicians, Contractors, and the SMME Co-Coordinator, ensuring seamless project execution from planning through to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all installation activities, ensuring adherence to company policies, standards, and timelines.
• Oversee Technicians, Contractors, and the Co-Coordinator, conducting regular performance reviews.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of all installation documentation and reports.
• Drive Quality Assurance initiatives through inspections, checklists, and technical compliance.
• Plan and schedule installations, including pre-configuration of equipment.
• Oversee and track contractor invoices, access builds, and capital expenditures.
• Maintain equipment stock levels and manage unserviceable/redundant equipment in line with SLAs.
• Provide field support to technicians, assisting with technical fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Identify and address operational bottlenecks or barriers to success.
• Ensure compliance with OHS and company safety procedures.
• Prepare and submit weekly reports on installation progress, success rates, and root cause analyses of failed installs.

Qualification Required:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Project Management certification (advantageous).

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in the installation of SMME and Layer 2 equipment.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in project management and telecommunications.
• Minimum 2 years leading a team.
